Mr.
Yongzheng Hui
After graduation from Chemistry Department of Peking University, Mr. Hui worked
for researches in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences
(CAS) since 1962 and was appointed as Vice Director and Director of Shanghai Institute
of Organic Chemistry. As a visiting scholar, he was engaged in research and teaching
at University of North Carolina and Rutgers University from 1982 to 1984. Over 150
articles about organic chemistry have been published. Multiple research findings
have been awarded National Prize for Natural Sciences and National Prize for Progress
in Science and Technology. The principle research field covers glycoconjugate chemistry,
physical organic chemistry and computer chemistry. Mr. Hui was awarded as Shanghai
1st Ten Elites in Science and Technology. Mr. Hui was appointed as representative
of the 8th and 9th National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China, member
of the chairman delegation.
Mr. Hui is Researcher of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy
of Science (CAS), tutor of PhD students; academician of the Third World Academy
of Sciences, academician of International Eurasian Academy of Science (IEAS); adjunct
professor of University of Science and Technology of China, Peking University, Fudan
University, China Pharmaceutical University and the Hong Kong University of Science
and Technology, and honorary professor of University of Hong Kong; member of editorial
board of European ChemBioChem. From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Hui took the post
of Vice Director of State Science and Technology Commission of China and Vice Minister
of Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
